You have a university degree and obtained your PhD through research in a relevant discipline. You have demonstrable experience working in the biopharmaceutical sciences. Job discription of the Senior Scientist (PhD) Pharmaceutical Sciences
The Development Center Oss (DCO) in the Netherlands is part of the R&D organization of Merck Research Laboratories (MRL). The PSCS (Pharmaceutical Sciences & Clinical Supplies) department employs approximately 100 specialists, who develop pharmaceutical dosage forms in an environment where they are free to develop creative solutions on their own or as part of a team.
We are looking for a Senior Scientist Product Value Enhancement/Life Cycle Management (academic with a PhD) for the group involved in formulation work developing new administration concepts. You will be collaborating on the development of new PVE products for various administration methods (e.g. transdermal, ocular, sublingual and modified-release medication). Ample experience in biopharmaceutical sciences as well as in-depth knowledge of pharmacokinetics, pharmaceutical product development and setting up preclinical and clinical studies is preferred. You will be collaborating closely with other departments within Merck and CROs, so it is important that you are a team player. You are responsible for the day-to-day management of the formulators in the PVE group, the daily progress of the work and for reporting the research results and supervising several projects. Knowledge of the relationship between pharmaceutical development, intellectual property and marketing is preferred.
